Easy To Make, Healthy Banana Walnut Cake With Lesser Sugar.

Great For A Tea-time Snack and also a Kids Favourite Recipes.

Ingredients:

  • Refined Flour – 1.5 Cups.
  • Powdered Sugar – 1/2 Cup for less sugar version & 1 Cup for regular version.
  • Butter – 1/2 Cup.
  • Baking Powder – 1 Tsp.
  • Egg – 1; Or use 2 TBSP Curd/Plain Yogurt for eggless version.
  • Chopped Walnuts – 1/2 Cup.
  • Banana – 2-3(mashed or pureed).
  • Cinnamon Powder – 1/2 tsp.
  • Vanilla Essence – 1/4 tsp.
  • Milk – 3-5 TBSP.

Method:

  1. Sieve flour, baking powder, cinnamon powder together. Then add the chopped walnuts to it, and keep it aside.
  2. Beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
  3. Then add the sieved flour mix, mashed banana, egg (or yogurt/curd), and milk alternately to the butter and sugar mix.
  4. Add vanilla essence, and mix well.
  5. Put it into the cake mould.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-40 mins (varies slightly from oven to oven).
  7. Conduct the toothpick test – pierce a toothpick at the centre of the cake, if it comes out clean, it means that the cake is done, and is ready to serve.

*Preheat the oven at 180 degrees.
