Avocado and Chickpea Burger.

WEIGHT LOSS MADE HEALTHIER, YUMMIER AND FASTER WITH THIS RECIPE.

Ingredients:

For the Burger Patty:

  • Cooked Chickpea: 2 cups.
  • Boiled Sweet Potato: 1-2 nos.
  • Chopped Olives.
  • Chopped Onion.
  • Chopped Green Chillies.
  • Flaxseed Paste (Add 4 tsp of water to 2 tsp of flaxseed powder, mix it well and keep it aside for 20 mins).
  • Finely chopped Coriander.
  • Finely chopped Parsley.
  • Grated Ginger. 
  • Grated Garlic.
  • Coriander, Cumin and Garam Masala (optional): 1/2 -1tsp each.
  • Salt (as per taste).
  • Bread Crumbs – 2 tsp.
  • Olive oil – 1/2 tsp.

For assembling the burger:

  • Toasted Burger Buns.
  • Avocado – Few slices.
  • Sriracha Mayo (Add 1 tsp of Sriracha sauce to 3 tsp of Mayonnaise & mix well).
  • Lettuce.
  • Tomato.
  • Olives.
  • Jalapeno.

Method:

  1. Grind the cooked chickpea and sweet potato using very little or no water.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Then, shape it into a burger patty, and roll the patty over some bread crumbs.
  4. Brown it on the tawa using a few drops of oil.

Assembling the burger:

  1. Spread the Sriracha Mayo on the toasted bun.
  2. Put some lettuce, Olives and Jalapenos.
  3. Place the patty.
  4. Then top the patty with a few slices of tomato, Avocado, Parsley and Jalapenos.
  5. And enjoy your healthy low calorie burger.
